I’m working on a family garden.
I heard that planting too early can ruin the crops, so I waited as long as possible to plant, just like I did last year.
Last year, I planted at the end of May and had a great harvest.
This year, I went to buy seedlings at the end of May again, just like last time.
But it was too late—they weren’t selling any seedlings at the store.
I’m not sure why they stopped selling them earlier this year, especially since they were still available at the same time last year.
I had no choice, so I bought some wilted seedlings and planted them.
I’m not expecting much this time, but I’ll try again next year.

あまり早く植えると寒さでダメになると聞いているので、昨年からはできるだけ遅くに植えるようにしている。
昨年も５月末に植えて、まあまあ収穫できた。
で、今年も昨年と同じく、先月末に苗を買いに行った。
しかし、時すでに遅く、苗が全然売っていなかった。
去年は売っていたのになぜ今年は売っていないのかは分からない。
仕方ないので売れ残りのしおれた苗をいくつか買ってきて植えた。
今年は期待できないので来年にかけようと思う。(19時55分)
