A typhoon is approaching the Japanese archipelago.
We have a lot of earthquakes and typhoons.
This is the 10th typhoon this year.
In foreign countries, they seem to name typhoons after people, but not in Japan.
We simply number typhoons based on when they occur each year.
Therefore, the current typhoon is named Typhoon No
I think this method is good.
I don’t understand why they name typhoons after people in foreign countries.
If they do, children with the same name as a typhoon might be bullied.
Also, we can’t tell how many typhoons have come this year from just their names.
台風が日本列島に接近している。
日本は地震だけではなく台風もとっても多い。
今年でもう１０個目の台風だ。
外国では台風に人の名前を付けるようだが、日本では付けない。
その年に発生した台風に単純に番号を付けるだけだ。
だから、今来ている台風の名前は台風10号だ。
これで良いと思っている。
外国ではなぜ人の名前を付けるのかは理解できない。
そんなことをしたら、同じ名前の子供はいじめに遭ってしまうだろう。
また、今年何個目か名前から判断することもできない。
