In Japan, we put a shimenawa on the entrance door to indicate that this house is a welcome home for a god.
However, there are seldom people who decorate it with this purpose in mind.
They decorate it as an annual behavior.
These shimenawa are disposed of when the new year term ends.
Regarding this disposal, we cannot put it out for garbage.
We must bring it to a Shinto shrine to burn.
日本では年末年始に、ここが神様を迎える家であると表すために、しめ縄を玄関に飾る。
しかし、そんなことを思って飾る人は殆どいない。
ただ、毎年の行事なので飾っているだけだ。
このしめ縄は正月が終わると廃棄する。
この廃棄もごみに出すことはできない。
