If you could be reborn, would you want to be a man or a woman?
As for me, I’d definitely choose to be a man.
Because it seems hard to be a woman.
Japan is a country that values gender equality.
Men and women have equal rights.
But those rights were created after the war; old Japan was terrible.
To be honest, we still feel the remnants of that mindset today.
For example, who should do the housework, the man or the woman?
In dual-income households, many couples share responsibilities.
But in households with a housewife, the woman does the housework.
It’s true that many people secretly believe women should do housework.
So I think being a woman is tough.
生まれ変わることができるとしたら、男が良いか女が良いか。
俺の場合は、絶対に男が良い。
なぜなら、女性は大変そうだからだ。
日本は男女平等の国である。
だから、女性の権利も男と同じだ。
しかし、それらは戦後に作られたもので、昔の日本はひどかったらしい。
今でも、その余韻があるというところが正直なところ。
例えば、家事はどちらがやるだろうか。
共稼ぎなら、二人で協力しあう人たちは多い。
しかし、専業主婦の場合は女性が家事をやる。
日本は、潜在的に女性が家事をやると考えている人が多いことは間違いない。
だから女性の方が大変だと思う。
