Today, I had a quarrel with my wife.
We bought a vacuum cleaner, but I didn’t assist her in assembling the stand.
While watching TV, my wife accused me of only putting effort into my own affairs.
This made me very angry.
I didn’t realize how difficult it was for her, so I simply didn’t offer to help.
If she had just asked, I would have gladly lent a hand.
Being labeled as lazy infuriated me.

掃除機を買ったのだが、スタンドの組み立てを手伝わなかったからだ。
テレビを見ていたら、妻は「あんたは、自分のことしか一生懸命にやらない」と罵られた。
これには頭にきた。
そんなに大変とは全く気が付かなかったので、何も手伝わなかっただけなのだ。
一言「手伝って」と言えばいくらでも手伝ったのに、まるで自分が怠け者のように言われたのに腹が立ったのだ。(09時44分)
