Today, July 3rd, new bills will be issued in Japan.
Whenever new bills are issued, I try to make it a rule to save the old ones.
The purpose of this is to remember or feel nostalgic about the old days.
That is why I have many old bills.
Today, my wife told me that since there’s no point in preserving them, it’s better to use the old money to eat something delicious.
I agree with her.
今日、7月３日、日本では20年ぶりに新紙幣が発行される。
私は、新紙幣が発行される度に、古い紙幣を何枚か保存するようにしていた。
昔のことを思い出して懐かしむためにだ。
だから、古い紙幣が結構ある。
今日、妻に言われた。
古い紙幣を取っておいて何の意味があるのか、使って美味しいものでも食べた方がよっぽど良いと。
