今年の家庭菜園

My family garden is not doing well this year.
This is the first time it has been so hard to get anything.
I have been maintaining the family garden for many years by watching others and imitating them, and I could manage it in my own way.
For example, there is only one eggplant on one seedling.
Since the season will continue, I might get more eggplants later, but I can see the seedling is almost dead.
I can hardly expect to get more from it.
Eggplants are selling for about 198 yen for 5.
This seedling also cost 198 yen each.
If I can’t get at least 5 eggplants from one seedling, I can’t make it worth the effort.

今年の家庭菜園は調子が悪い。
こんなに取れなくなったのは初めてだ。
今まで、見よう見まねで長年作っていて、それなりにできてはいた。
例えば、なすび、一本の苗に１個しかならない。
まだまだシーズンは続くのでこれからかも知れないが、もう殆ど死んでいるように見える。
これから取れるようになるのは殆ど期待できないだろう。
なすびは普通５本で198円ぐらいで売っている。
この苗の価格も１本198円だった。
少なくとも１本５本以上の苗から５個以上取れないと元が取れない。
