In Japan, there is a strange system called “Hometown Taxes”.
This system allows you to donate to your favorite municipalities and receive a tax reduction almost equal to the amount of local tax paid.
Additionally, you can receive a rebate from the municipality as an expression of gratitude.
If you use this system, you can get the rebate for free since the plus and minus equal zero.
However, it is an unfair system because people who do not pay taxes cannot use it.
日本には、ふるさと納税」というとてもおかしな制度がある。
自分のお気に入りの市町村に寄付をすると、殆ど寄付額と同じ金額の支払い済みの地方税が戻ってくるという制度。
そのうえ、その市町村からお礼として返礼品がもらえるというもの。
この制度を利用すると、プラスマイナス０なので、ただで返礼品がもらえるのと同じことになる。
